After the Asian Crises

This text offers background to the Asian crisis from an economic, political and social point of view, and suggests possible scenarios which could take place in the future. The analysis is divided in two parts. The first includes area studies of the main Asian countries during the crisis, beginning with China, Japan and Southeast Asia, followed by South Asia and Central Asia. The second focuses on international variables, including environmental, political, and regional issues.
